This app is intended to be used for recording data collected using the Coastal Biodiversity Survey (CBS) point contact protocol developed by the Multi-Agency Rocky Intertidal Network (MARINe).
Point contact sampling consists of recording the species or substrate located directly under or in the near vicinity of 100 points along each transect in a sampling grid (typically 11 transects).
This app allows the user to select the specific site and transect(s) being surveyed, along with the sampling interval (distance between points). At each point the user can select the specific species (or substrate) observed. The user has a choice between layered sampling (3 points per location), or single point sampling (1 point per location).
